The UTD is a UK based examination board that was founded in 1976 by 21 founding members.

 

The association is well established as an awarding body with its members teaching throughout the UK and internationally .

We offer Non-Regulated Examinations, medal tests & professional teaching qualifications in Ballet, Tap, Modern, Acrobatics, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Street Dance, Freestyle and Contemporary.

 

We also offer GQAL Regulated Examinations & Teaching Qualifications in Ballet & Tap. New for 2024 Modern!

We hold regular events to ensure our members meet the associations Continued Professional Development requirements including an annual open day and AGM. 

 

We welcome those with teaching qualifications from other awarding bodies to join and experience the benefits of being a UTD Member. Teacher Training is available for those who meet the requirements of our professional teaching examinations.

- To focus the creative ability of everyone in the Association in making quality whether teaching syllabi or standards our top priority.  

 

To regularly review ourselves to ensure we continually meet everyones expectations.

 

 

THE AIM OF THE UTD EXAMINATION BOARD IS TO PROVIDE:

 

-The enjoyment of dance to all children from all walks of life

 

-Encouragement, advice and training to all teachers of dance 

 

An environment to improve the standard of both dancer and teacher 

 

-An examination and performance award system which will train  pupils in the art of dance

 

 

The UTD Examination Board is an 'Awarding Body' and a member of
